Calling Notice Welsh National Commemorations of the Falklands Conflict

This is to inform you that if you are coming along to the Welsh Commemorations on Sunday 30th September in Cardiff you must register with the council first. I have included a registration form with this letter. Please reply ASAP as they need to know how many are coming in order to arrange the day. This is a ticket affair run by the Council and Welsh Assembly and not SAMA therefore anyone coming without tickets on the day will only be allowed to march and not to the service and reception. Please DO NOT EXPECT TO JUST WALK IN you must register!!!!!! SAMA Wales cannot help you on the day.

Please spread the word in your area by writing to local newspapers or try to enter a feature about it with them. If you need more registration forms to hand out to anyone please give me a ring.

The hotel package which was advertised in the January newsletter still has spaces. This is limited so if you want to take advantage of the two night deal send your £99 to Paul Wickers immediately. We have to operate a first come first served policy and no rooms will be held on a phone call. See attached form.

The AGM on Saturday afternoon will be for 2 hours and please see Stephen  Hopkins our branch Chairman’s letter on the reverse for more details. An agenda will be published on our website as soon as it is complete.

I will not be standing as Secretary at the forthcoming AGM and will publish a letter closer to the date with my thoughts and feelings, looking at the past and towards the future. I dearly wish to remain in some capacity within SAMA Wales in order to offer any assistance I can to a truly remarkable bunch of people.
